Hi Ho SILVER!!!!!!

Well I stopped at a little park on my way back to Auckland from Taupo and convinced the Mrs let me do a quick 5 min hunt... well this is what I found :D and I will definitely be going back.

Watch your watches.... GOLD!!!!!

Well I found this old busted watch which was giving my F2 some odd numbers... I chucked it into the car in the ash tray (where I put my ok finds) it sat there for several weeks... well I looked over at the backing which had fallen off and sure enough I clearly read "18k .750" !!!
It's a solid GOLD WATCH!!! I am so glad I did not just throw it away!

Free Tip: CHECK watches before throwing them out!!!! lol

Another hunt with DJevel at another nice secret spot ;)... Silver!

Well this spot did not disappoint!  I managed 2 NZ SILVER shillings (best I have done in a LONG time :) ) and DJevel took the cake with 3 shillings and 2 sixpence! I always seem to find more spendable and he more silver... lol (I''d prefer the silver ;) )

I don't know how he does it but he manages to get some nice permissions... I have yet to get a response from mine.... oh well.

On to the finds :)

Finds from the last three hunts

Well I haven't had enough time to put all my finds in a picture and now after three hunts I can't remember what went with what and some of my gold coins have been well spent ;).

So here are the good things that I found in the last three hunts

Hunt #1 with DJevel: I don't know what that pewter button is but the shilling is a 1945.

Hunt #2 at beach: 3 3d's one British one with oak leaves. 31, 36 ,43, pre 1921(not shown no date)

Hunt #3 at another beach: 3 3d's one old British one. 25, 40, ?(needs a better clean) found some other really nice find here too... including gold and platinum!
